Let Me Go, My Mafia Husband

Chapter 520

Chapter 520 Seer's Warning *Selena*

Zander's unexpected tenderness caught me off guard. It was as if a different side of him had emerged, a softer facade that contradicted the enigmatic and mysterious persona he projected.

However Zander's attempt to sway me with his sweet talk was futile. He thought his words could change my mind, but he was utterly, absolutely wrong. I knew him far too well to fall into his manipulative trap again. Behind his enchanting talks, charming smile, and alluring eyes, there was a monster hiding.

I was aware that I shouldn't gaze into his eyes, as they possessed the power to cast a spell over me. Yet, I couldn't help but be drawn to those deep blue orbs, captivating and hypnotizing.

He slowly lowered his head, his movements filled with desire. My heart raced in my chest, anticipation coursing through my veins. I couldn't tear my eyes away from his, the intensity of his gaze locking me in place. "Selena!" he whispered my name as his lips brushed against mine.

A gasp escaped my lips as a surge of electric intensity coursed through my veins. My hands instinctively slid up his torso, finding their way to his neck, gripping him tightly as my knees threatened to give way beneath me.

Our lips met, fitting together flawlessly, and a rush of desire coursed through me. His tongue gently grazed my lips, seeking entrance, and my lips parted on their own, eagerly granting it. Our mouths opened, and our tongues entwined in a dance as old as time itself. At that intimate moment, our breaths became one, blending in a symphony of shared desire. Soon the kiss became so passionate as if we never hated each other.

I despised how my body reacted to his touch and his kiss. Earlier, I had been pretending to be under his spell, feigning vulnerability. But now, at this moment, all rationality seemed to flee my brain, and my senses were clouded with an overwhelming lust. The lines between desire and reason blurred, and I found myself succumbing to the magnetic pull he exerted over me.

His fingers, long and sinewy, reached out and brushed against the fabric of my shirt. The touch was feather-light, yet electrifying. It sent a cascade of goosebumps along my skin, awakening a dormant fire within me. I gasped, unable to control the tremor that coursed through my body.

His touch continued, gliding along my soft, exposed skin, leaving a trail of heat in its wake. I closed my eyes, unable to resist the sensations that overwhelmed me. Every nerve ending sparked to life as his fingers traced invisible patterns, setting my senses ablaze. "Always so responsive," he growled, his voice a low rumble that resonated deep within my core.

The words carried a dangerous allure, a seductive promise of forbidden pleasures. It was a voice that commanded obedience, stirring a forgotten desire within me that clashed with my instinctual fear.

My heart pounded in my chest like a trapped animal, its frantic beats echoing in my ears. It begged me to run, to escape the clutches of this devil. But my body, traitorous as it was, yearned for more. It whispered to me, urging me to forget everything and surrender to the intoxicating pull of desire.

Yet, there was something about this cruel devil that made me crave his touch, to relive the immense pleasure he had bestowed upon me in the past.

With each passing second, the sunlight illuminated his features, revealing the sharp contours of his face and the intensity in his eyes. He exuded a raw terrifying power that enticed me, drawing me deeper into his magnetic presence.

As he expertly brushed his fingers on my nipples, making a sharp gasp escape my lips, merging with the kiss we shared. The sensation sent electric waves of pleasure coursing through my body, overwhelming my senses.

"Fuck!" he muttered, his voice husky and filled with desire, his words vibrating against my mouth as his eyes darkened with lust, fixed on me. "I can smell how aroused you are, Selena," he growled, his lips crashing against mine in a hungry kiss. "Your heartbeat quickens with every touch," he added as his other hand slid seductively under my pants, possessively gripping my ass, drawing me closer and igniting a fierce grinding motion against his erection.

"I can't wait to take you," he growled, his voice blending with Lyon's primal instinct taking over.

My heart jumped into my throat upon hearing his confession.

"We... we can't do this," I managed to breathe out, my voice trembling with both desire and apprehension.noveldrama

He locked eyes with mine, his gaze unwavering and filled with a wild intensity. The burning golden flecks in his irises seemed to shimmer under the sunlight.

"Who will stop us?" he whispered, his words hanging in the air like a seductive challenge.

"Selena!" We heard Blair calling my name.

Oh, I forgot I promised her to go to the training ground with her.

I pushed Zander to get away from him, and he frowned, tightening his arm around me.

"Blair is here," I whispered, looking up at him.

"I have heard her," he replied, his tone filled with frustration. But he didn't release me.

"Zander? Selena?" Blair's voice interrupted us, making our heads snap toward her. "What the hell is going on here? I thought you guys had moved on," she questioned, raising her finely shaped brow as her eyes darted between Zander and me. Zander loosened his grip on me, and I swiftly broke free, dashing towards Blair. I grasped her hand tightly, pulling her along with me.

"Let's go, Blair," I urged, my voice laced with urgency, determined to escape from that place, or rather, from him.

To hell with the face mask. I would lie to Avery and tell her I couldn't find the herbs. "Selena, will you finally tell me?" Blair demanded, her eyes narrowed with a mix of frustration and curiosity as we walked briskly.

"It's not what you think, Blair. I was actually there to search for some herbs that Avery needed for her face pack. And coincidentally, Zander happened to be on patrol," I explained, hoping my assumption about his duty was correct.

Blair's expression softened slightly as she processed my words.

"Herbs for Avery's face pack? That's why you were in that very unusual place with Zander?" she asked, her tone a mixture of skepticism and taunt.

"Yes, exactly. It was purely

coincidental, swear," I emphasized,

trying to assure her. "Oh, really?!" Blair exclaimed, a mischievous smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "What was that I saw with my own eyes? Zander had been holding you so possessively, and you still smell like him."

A surge of panic gripped me, my mind racing to find a way to downplay the situation. "It was.. it was nothing, just a fleeting moment," I stammered, desperation lacing my words. "Please, Blair, promise me you won't tell anyone about this." Blair's expression softened.

"Don't worry, your secret is safe with me," she reassured me with a gentler tone. "I know my brother is undeniably hot, and women can't resist him." Her playful nature resurfaced, teasingly easing the tension.

I let out an exasperated sigh and rolled my eyes. "Shut up, Blair."

Blair giggled, clearly enjoying it. She always had a way of lightening up even the most serious moments.

Curiosity getting the better of me, I couldn't help but ask, "So, how did you find me?" "I asked Lola when I didn't find you in the pack house," she replied. "And she said you went to the royal medicinal garden." As we walked together, Blair suddenly took a different turn, leading us away from the usual route. I raised an eyebrow, puzzled by her unexpected choice.

"Which way are you taking us?" I inquired, my curiosity piqued. Blair flashed me a mischievous grin.

"It's a shortcut," she explained, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Otherwise, we'll be late for training session."

Just as we were about to hurry along, a firm grip took hold of my hand, causing me to come to an abrupt stop. Startled, I turned to see an old lady with long, flowing white hair, her gaze fixed upon me. "Stop!" Her voice pierced the air, catching me off guard. I regarded her curiously, unsure of her intentions.

"Excuse me, how can I help you?" I inquired softly.

With a mysterious intensity, she uttered softly, "Only you can stop this. You're here to perform a task. You're here to do it."

Her words sent a shockwave through me, leaving me bewildered. Was she referring to the task I currently held in my hand or was she meant by something else?! "Alethea, leave her," Blair insisted, attempting to pull me away from the enigmatic old lady. However, she remained steadfast, refusing to let me go.

"Everything is decisive and will move you around. Only through belief shall salvation be found," she chanted, her voice carrying an otherworldly resonance.

Her eyes closed, and her head tilted towards the sky, as if seeking guidance from the heavens above.

"What are you talking about?!" I blurted out, furrowing.

She slowly opened her eyes, a serene smile gracing her weathered face.

"Just believe in yourself and don't believe anything else," Alethea replied, her tone serene yet tinged with an air of mystery. With a gentle touch, she released my hand. "Remember it's belief that will lead you through the darkness toward the light," she warned again and melted into the shadows of the surrounding woods, disappearing like a wisp of smoke.

"Who was she?" I asked, my gaze fixed on the spot where Alethea had gone. Blair sighed, her expression tinged with uncertainty.

"She is Alethea, a seer," she

explained. "She seldom reveals

herself to others, and it's rare for her

to appear at all. I have no idea why

she came before you." Alethea unexpected appearance only deepened my intrigue. The words she had spoken echoed in my mind, their meaning shrouded in enigma. What secrets did they hold? What path had she set me upon?

But before I could ponder further, Blair's urging broke through my thoughts. "Come on, Selena, we're running late," she urged, a sense of urgency in her voice.

"Why are we going to the main training ground? You can practice on the grounds near the pack house," I demanded.

Blair turned to me, her expression resolute.

"Someone needs to know the consequences of messing with me," she declared, her voice carrying a potent mix of determination and vengeful anticipation. I saw there was a fire in her eyes, a hunger for retribution. Realization struck me. So, she was going there for Beta Maddox. I sighed inwardly, my gaze fixed on Blair's unwavering face.

Only Moon Goddess can save Maddox from his mate's wrath.
