My Gentle Wife is a Real Divine Being CHAPTER 1098

Randy’s voice was so loud it brought the entire room to silence.

Erica froze, and so did Randy.

He had only meant to ask her to be his girlfriend. But with the alcohol clouding his head, his true feelings had slipped out.

Before he could backtrack, the crowd around them began to cheer, “Say yes.”

Erica was flustered, glancing at the ring and then the onlookers.

She blushed and stammered, “This is Juan and Debra’s wedding day. What are you doing? Get up.”

“I don’t care. If you don’t say yes, I’m not getting up,” Randy insisted, playing the rogue.

To stop the farce, she extended her hand and said, “Alright, I’ll say yes. Just get up already.”

Randy lit up with joy, quickly slipping the ring onto her finger.

Debra burst out laughing. “Randy, you’ve got it all wrong. She agreed to your proposal, but .she didn’t say she’s ready to have the wedding right now.”

Randy’s face turned crimson. He hurried to take the ring off, but Erica grabbed him and bolted from the stage.

The crowd continued to cheer as she dragged him to a quiet corner.

Once they were alone, Erica sulked, “Who taught you to propose like that? I’m not even your girlfriend yet. And you just proposed.”

Before she could finish, Randy cupped the back of her head and kissed her.

The kiss sent her mind reeling. Everything she wanted to say evaporated.

When Randy finally let her go, he looked her in the eye and said seriously, “You said yes. No take–backs.”

Erica swallowed hard, her face burning. She pushed him away, flustered. “I’m not dealing with you right now. Wait until we get home.”

Debra watched the scene from afar and felt happy for them. Turning her head, she inadvertently caught a glimpse of a figure standing in–the corner of the banquet hall.

Debra leaned close to Marion, who was busy toasting guests, and whispered, “I’ll step away for a while.”

“Alright.” Juan nodded.

He only resumed toasting after making sure she was within his sight. noveldrama

In the corner, Debra approached someone she hadn’t seen in a while. Jordan looked much more robust than before.

“I thought you weren’t coming. What are you staying here alone?” she said.

Jordan’s eyes flicked away as he replied, “Just wanted to take a look.”

“Why didn’t you just hand me the gift yourself?”

“My identity makes it inconvenient,” Jordan explained, his gaze dropping to the diamond ring on her finger. “The diamond suits you. Juan treats you well.”

“Grow up,” Debra teased him. “Someday, you’ll find your happiness.”

Jordan frowned. “We’re the same age. You make it sound like you’ve lived years more than me.
