No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Chapter 103

"I won't say it a second time!" Frank said.

The usually gentle Frank looked intimidating when he was angry. He glared at Lucas, gritting his teeth. "Have you forgotten why we're here today?"

Lucas finally calmed down. He had come to the event hoping to reconcile with Noelle, but he couldn't understand how it had all ended up like this. Sensing things were going wrong, Xenia cautiously said, "Lucas, let's go. My foot hurts."

It was only then that Lucas helped Xenia out. However, he didn't apologize to Noelle.

Noelle watched the entire fiasco, finding it utterly absurd. Xenia's same old tricks and Lucas's predictable reaction only made her feel exhausted and disgusted.

Frank swallowed his discomfort and nervously looked at Noelle. "I apologize on Lucas's behalf. I didn't expect him to act this way."

Frank's guilt only deepened as Lucas demanded an apology from Noelle so stubbornly.

Noelle coldly said, "I don't accept his apology."

"Noelle, I understand why you're upset, and I'm upset, too. However, you really shouldn't sign that contract with Firestorm Entertainment. The industry is complicated, and I don't want you to get hurt in the end," Frank said, looking at her with a hopeful expression. He continued, "I know you're always sensible and considerate. I've overlooked you in the past, but I won't anymore. If you join Starlight, I can offer you all the support you need."

"I've already agreed to sign with Firestorm Entertainment," Noelle replied indifferently.

Frank's expression froze. He hadn't expected Noelle to act so quickly.

He stared at her in disbelief. "You decided this on your own? Didn't you think about discussing it with the family first?"

"This is my decision," Noelle said. With that, she turned to leave, not wanting to continue the conversation with Donovan. Frank watched her walk away, feeling a mix of helplessness and sorrow.

Noelle had changed so much. She no longer depended on him, nor did she revolve around him the way she used to.

The brief interruption at the banquet

was quickly forgotten. As the

At the end of the night, the manager from Firestorm Entertainment approached her with a contract. "Ms. Liddell, there's no time like the present. Let's sign the contract today." en FindNovel

Noelle nodded. "Alright."

Frank watched silently from the side, draining his glass of wine. His frustration weighed heavily on him, and he felt suffocated.

Noelle stood confidently on stage, exuding a sense of confidence and excellence. She was no longer the little girl who relied on her family.

Noelle met many people at the event that day. Afterward, she left the venue with Rachel.

Rachel was overjoyed. "It was so satisfying to see Xenia get a taste of her own medicine!"

Noelle chuckled. "Even after all this time, Xenia's tricks haven't changed."

However, she wouldn't sit idly by and let herself be framed. Just then, Michael walked up to them. "Ms. Liddell, may I offer you a ride home?" As Noelle was about to decline, Frank stepped forward. "Don't worry, I'll take Noelle home."

Michael raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure Noelle wants to go with you?"

"Noelle's my sister. Mr. Malark, don't get any wrong ideas," Frank replied. He didn't want Noelle to be involved with Team Celestial in any way.

Noelle took a step back, distancing herself from Frank. "I can go on my own. I don't need anyone to drive me."

Frank sternly said, "Noelle, I need to talk to you."

Noelle's expression remained calm. "I don't think there's anything to discuss."noveldrama
