The CEO’s little ones

Chapter 50

Chapter 50:.

“There must be some misunderstanding, Alayna.” Hayden butted in. She really couldn’t believe Kevin would do such a thing.

Although he hadn’t been with the ST Group for long, Kevin had a good reputation in the company. In fact, he was a playboy, but she had never heard that he had done that sort of thing before.

“I saw it with my own eyes. Fearing that this damn scoundrel wouldn’t admit it, I also took a video.”

Seeing that Hayden didn’t believe her, Alayna pulled out her phone, playing a videoc in front of them all.

On the screen, the crime scene was the back seat of a black BMW. The door was ajar, Kevin was holding a woman whose clothes were in disarray. After zooming in, it could be seen that Kevin was taking off his pants. Suddenly, the woman struggled and yelled, “Help.”

Kevin’s pants were about to fall off.

“Well…” Hayden couldn’t watch it anymore. With one hand rubbing his forehead, he pushed Alayna with the other and whispered, “That’s enough. Put it away.”

“Jesus, why do you keep saving this video? You need to delete it.” Kevin was very anxious, kicking. “You’re invading my privacy!”.

Alayna raised her eyebrows.

“Invading your privacy? You fucking scoundrel, if it wasn’t for me, you would have succeeded You think you’re going to be released because you have money and wealth to bribe the cops? I’ll beat you up every time I see you in the future.”

“Crazy, what nonsense are you talking? Be careful, I’ll sue you for slander…”.

Seeing that they were about to fight again, Hayden and Joseph dragged them apart.

“All right, all right Alayna, stop it.”

Hayden was embarrassed to death. Even if Kevin had some personality problem, she would run into him from time to time at the company. If he was beaten by Alayna again, what was she to do?

“She’s Kevin’s girlfriend, Evelyn.” Joseph explained. He tugged on Kevin’s arm and added, “She’s not a bystander.”

“His girlfriend?”

Hayden was a little taken aback for a moment. The mood somehow relaxed.

“Of course she’s my girlfriend. Or do you think I’m out of my mind? If I really did that to a woman, I should go to jail.” Kevin glared angrily at Alayna, “Besides, it wasn’t me who took the initiative at all, it was Evelyn who set me up.”

Everyone else was dumbfounded.

To prove his innocence, Kevin took out his phone and showed the photos with his girlfriend to the two women. He then reluctantly explained the unpleasant breakup incident with her, so the two women finally understood that what had happened was actually a misunderstanding.

Earlier, when he arrived at the parking lot from the airport and was about to put his luggage into the truck, he noticed that the car in front of him was shaking. So he paid more attention to it.

Then he heard a woman struggling, so he pulled out his phone and took a video as he approached. Indeed, he had seen a pretty woman being forcibly pressed under her body by a man.

Suddenly, that woman screamed for help. Of course, Alayna couldn’t just sit there and watch. She immediately pulled Kevin away and beat him half to death, then took him to the security department.

However, Kevin explained the scene differently.

“I came back from a business trip today. Before the trip, I had just broken up with Evelyn, but she said she had something to give me, so she came to the airport to pick me up. She took the initiative in the car, but, when she saw this woman, she suddenly screamed for help. I know she was upset about our breakup, so she set me up.”

Hayden nodded as it actually made sense after thinking it through. Even if Kevin really did something like that, why would he choose the airport parking lot where a lot of people were passing by and there were a lot of surveillance cameras installed?

“I don’t think so, you said she’s your ex-girlfriend. Maybe you just want to have one last shag with her before you break up altogether.” Alayna still didn’t look convinced, looking at Kevin with extreme disdain.

“You…”

“All right, all right. Stop it.” Hayden tugged on Alayna. Hayden said, “Since things were clearly explained now, it’s all good, right? Mr. Jackman, you’re hurt. You should go to the hospital as soon as possible, we have to rush back too.”

Alayna was no fool. Although she didn’t think Kevin was a decent man, what had happened today seemed suspicious to her. Therefore, she stopped arguing and shut up.

As they turned to leave, Joseph’s voice sounded from behind them.

“Stella will stay at my house tonight. I’ll take her to school tomorrow morning.”

Hayden paused. He thought about it a moment ago, he was in a hurry to leave. She hadn’t expected him to say that so suddenly.

Indeed, Alayna sensed some gossip. Unwilling to leave, she stopped and turned around. Asking, “Stella? Why is Stella at your house? What’s her relationship with Hayden?”

“We were grocery shopping. She came to pick you up after she got your call, so she temporarily dropped Stella off for me. But I also got a call from Kevin, so I asked my butler to take the two children to my house.” Joseph explained blankly.

However, it was worth reflecting on his words.

Kevin was startled too, he had been on a business trip for a month, why were there so many strange things after his return? He wondered if he had misheard a moment ago. How could Joseph babysit someone else’s child?

“Joseph, why are you babysitting someone else’s child? You two…”

Hearing her question, Hayden hurriedly dragged Alayna to leave. “Mr. Beckham, thank you very much for today, as well as for your help tomorrow morning. We’re leaving now.” He said quickly without looking back.

Before he could react, Alayna was already in her car. Hayden quickly sat in the driver’s seat and locked the doors directly. He started the engine much faster than ever, in the blink of an eye, the car roared out of the parking lot.noveldrama

“Hayden, are you in love with that Joseph Beckham?”.

“Don’t talk nonsense.”

“Then why are you in such a panic?”. Alayna looked doubtful, “I didn’t ask you anything a moment ago, but you rushed off in such a hurry. If there was nothing suspicious, why did you do it?”.

“I was worried that if you kept asking, I might lose my job.” Hayden glared at her, “You’re always like that. You started a fight before you let me know things right and then I have to go wipe your ass.”

“Don’t change the subject.” Alayna leaned against the back of the passenger seat, arms folded across her chest. She told him meaningfully, “Since you were able to trust Stella to take care of her, you two must be close.”

“You’ve really overthought it… I saved his son earlier, I guess he’s a little grateful, OK?”.

“Your retribution for saving his son.” Alayna rubbed her chin thoughtfully, “Usually, in such circumstances, he would pay with his own body.”

“Stop fantasizing.” Hayden was speechless. Rolling his eyes, he said, “I don’t want to waste my time talking nonsense with you, believe it or not.”

“Really? What if I told you I was crazy about him and wanted to chase him?”

Hayden heard that and his heart skipped a beat. He thought for a few seconds. Then he replied, “If you like him, go ahead. Just a gentle reminder: he was born with an arctic cold face, he may reject you when you kiss his ass. Based on your character, I’m afraid you wouldn’t last a day.”

Alayna looked her up and down in silence, ignoring his supposedly gentle reminder. Suddenly, she blinked. With a solemn face, she said, “Hayden, according to behavioral psychology analysis, the few seconds you hesitated a moment ago actually meant rejection and the reminder was to cover up your inner rejection of my proposal, you certainly are crazy about him.”
