The Cherished Wife



Both Peter and Charles looked up at Sean upon hearing that.

Peter looked up because he had just bumped into Layla earlier that day. Meanwhile, Charles looked up because Layla had always addressed him as ‘brother' for the past 20 years. However, a calm look soon settled in his eyes as he asked, "Why mention her all of a sudden?"

"I found out something interesting. We may be able to find Tania soon!"

"What do you mean?" Peter immediately jolted to attention upon hearing Tania's name. “Does she know where Tania is?"

Sean shook his head. "I don't know."

"Then..."

"Layla went to meet your in-laws today, but your father-in-law stopped her from entering!" Sean said as he stroked his chin. Upon noticing Peter's lack of response, he asked, "Aren't you even the slightest bit curious?"

"I saw them at the entrance to the hospital. Get to the point!"noveldrama

"Fine. The point is, that she was kicked out by Henry Hoffman, and that probably triggered her. She was talking to herself after getting into a massive argument with Jordan, and I happened to hear what she was talking about."

"Talking to herself? Was it about Tania?"

Sean nodded. "You guys still think she'll return?" Sean repeated that sentence before turning to look at Peter. "Don't you think that sentence sounds really suspicious?"

Peter frowned as Sean added, "Even if she doesn't know where Tania is, this at least proves she knows who's behind what happened to Tania back then. As for why Tania left... I've left her in there for you, Peter. You can do whatever you deem fit!"

Peter nodded and tossed his cards aside before getting to his feet. "I'll go check things out!"

Sean watched Peter leave before he turned to the cards in his hands. "Why does it feel like there's a murderous aura rolling off Peter?"

Charles grinned. "As long as he doesn't kill anyone!" Then, he got to his feet. "I've got other matters to take care of, so I won't be staying any longer."

stay back for the show? After all, she used to be of the Hoffman

family. She,.." Sean fell silent when he saw the frosty look in Charles eyes. Finally, Charles turned to Steven. "Just make sure Peter doesn't kill her. After all, on paper, she's still Mrs. Langford. Think of it as doing Jordan and the rest of the Langford family a favor!"

Steven nodded. "Alright!" Indeed, she could not be dead, because the sudden disappearance of a well-known figure would undoubtedly raise some questions. Steven got to his feet and said, “Sean go take a look!"

"Gosh!" Sean sighed as he got to his feet and headed over to that place alongside Steven.

Peter stormed into the dark basement, his murderous aura practically rolling off him. When Andrew saw him, he immediately hurried over and called out, "Mr. Lennon!"

Peter nodded. "Where is she?"

"S-she's inside here!" Andrew said before leading the way for Peter. Despite Andrew's tall and foreboding stature, he had a rather timid nature. He was curious as to what Peter was doing here now since he had not stepped foot here ever since what happened three years ago.

Andrew led Peter to the bedroom door. "She's in here, Mr. Lennon."
